Profile of Culinary Vocational School Students' Learning Styles as a Basis for Choosing Science Learning Methods

Based on the concept of student learning styles, students have strengths and weaknesses in learning. When teacher applies methods that are not accordance with their style, it will affect outcomes. The selection science method can be done by adjusting student's style as a first step before carrying out process. purpose this research is to identify profiles students' styles order able choose appropriate methods. This qualitative descriptive study, using purposive sampling technique. subjects consisted 32 class X Culinary 2 at SMK Negeri 6 Semarang. studied focus visual, auditory, kinesthetic styles. Data collection techniques questionnaires observation. data obtained were analyzed qualitatively. results more inclined visual 47%, while auditory 16.2% 36.8%. So concluded diverse Teachers cannot emphasize only one so applied must varied adapted possessed students.
